A similar system could be implemented for the gun. if you hit the melee button in a sweet spot immediately after cooldown, the hit gets bonus damage to the zombie. It's a constant cycle of start game -> die -> start game -> die -> start game -> die -> had enough for a day -> repeat.Ī suggestion to make death feel less inescapable is to add more skill to the melee system i.e. I understand that perks are upgraded through time, but since I've got to the point of 3 stars in the majority of perks, dying in the game has no benefit to me whatsoever anymore. But when I die, I don't feel like I've learnt a single thing. And even if by luck, I do possess enough weaponry, I have to be willing to use enough of the resources such as to impair my fights in the future. I have to have amassed considerable weapons by that time to pass. It's incredibly frustrating to die in the yall-mart sieges (sometimes with the policeman in them). When I die, I feel like I learn nothing.Į.g. I wouldn't mind losing in the game if I felt I learnt something which I could improve my play next time. It's compounded by the fact I don't feel rewarded in any way by losing. Playing 22 hours and not winning once in a game which relies of random procedural generation is pretty ridiculous. Yes simply put, I feel like the normal mode is too difficult as it is. In my mind, the bandit works better but I still can't win after repeatedly repeatedly repeatedly trying. my favoured combination is Car Nut - Paranoid // Gun Collector - Bandit/Civilised. I love the game but I'm beyond the point of frustration now. It'd be interesting to see what the win rate is on normal mode. I've read most of the tips on here but it seems to win, the reliance on RNG is still too high. If I focus my build on getting resources, I tend to die on the latter days before the last siege if I focus my build on fighting, I'll die because of no food/gas and characters leaving. I've tried different tactics to no avail. So whilst I might make the odd mistake, my overall play shouldn't be too bad. I don't have evidence but I can point to my 100% achievements on Binding Of Isaac Rebirth (beating Hush with the Keeper.never again). I'm concious of sounding like whining but I'm a decent gamer. (I don't want to try the rare mode before I have beaten the normal mode). I've invested 22 hours into this game but have yet managed to beat the normal mode yet. The weird machine in the cellar and the genie remain my favourites.īut I feel the game needs balancing. The stand-out features are the funny rambling of the characters and the non-sensical rare events that pop up. First of all, well done to the devs for making an enjoyable quirky game with tonnes of replayability.
